BOXOX • PRINTING & PACKAGING
Production capability should follow the job—not the other way around.
BOXOX evaluates the format, quantity, quality requirement, material and finish before selecting the practical production route.
Depending on the requirement, execution may involve offset, digital, flexographic, screen, wide-format, converting, binding, die-cutting and specialist finishing capabilities.
PRINTING
Common production routes.
- Offset printing for suitable medium and long commercial runs
- Digital printing for short runs, rapid turnaround and variable applications
- Flexographic production for relevant label and packaging applications
- Screen and specialist print where the substrate or effect requires it
- Wide-format production for display, event and signage applications
CONVERSION & FINISHING
The job is not finished when the ink is dry.
- Lamination and protective coatings
- Spot UV, texture effects and varnish
- Hot foil and other decorative foil applications
- Embossing and debossing
- Die-cutting, creasing, folding and gluing
- Window patching and inserts where relevant
- Saddle stitch, perfect binding, hard case and other binding routes
- Kitting, packing, labelling and dispatch preparation
PREPRESS
Protect the approved artwork before production.
Artwork is checked against the agreed size, bleed, colour mode, image resolution, fonts / outlines and production notes before release.
- Document dimensions and bleed
- CMYK / spot-colour setup where applicable
- Image resolution and linked assets
- Fonts, overprint and transparency checks
- Dieline / cut / crease layer separation
- Version and approval confirmation
