Quality & Tolerance Policy
Commercial print and packaging are manufactured processes with measurable—but not absolute—variation.
The applicable quality standard is the approved specification, reference and agreed commercial tolerance for the specific job.
COLOUR VARIATION
Colour can vary across substrates, processes and production batches.
Critical brand colours should be identified before quotation. A physical approved reference, spot-colour target or agreed proof may be required when tight colour control is essential.
DIMENSION & CONVERSION
Cutting, creasing, folding, gluing and binding have normal process tolerances.
Where a package interfaces with a product, fitment or automated line, critical dimensions must be identified explicitly so feasibility and tolerance can be agreed before production.
QUANTITY
Production quantity can be subject to process-related over / under tolerance where customary or stated in the quotation.
If exact quantity is mandatory, it must be written into the commercial requirement and accepted before production.
QUALITY CLAIMS
Keep affected samples.
Claims should identify the order, issue, affected quantity and evidence. BOXOX may request representative samples so the issue can be compared against the approved job standard.
